Senior Design Engineer with 9 years closing the gap between design and production code. I design systems and build them: Figma token architecture to production-ready Vue and React interfaces, with the Backend For Frontend layer that most teams leave as an afterthought. I lead the user research that defines what gets built. Currently teaching AI-augmented design workflows at IED Barcelona, and operating tranqui.agency, a conversational AI CMS for small businesses with paying customers in Argentina.

First Design & Frontend Hire · Anansi

Apr 2023 – Jan 2026

First design and frontend hire at an insurtech startup that pivoted multiple times, from a Shopify plugin for small merchants to an enterprise platform for 3PLs. Brought in to own the full product surface, from user research to shipped interfaces. Inherited no design system, no component library, and two disconnected legacy applications.

  • Proposed and led full product consolidation: migrated Django Admin + Vue 3 app into a unified Next.js product over 6 months, using a Backend For Frontend architecture
  • Built the design system from zero: Figma token architecture → Tailwind-based component library, used as the shared foundation across all product surfaces
  • Redesigned claims creation flow from 14 steps and repeated form fills to 5 clicks with context-aware pre-loaded data, reducing cognitive load significantly
  • Rearchitected high-volume data filtering interfaces, resulting in strong positive feedback around speed and clarity
  • Led early AI adoption: established internal guidelines for when AI should and shouldn't be used in product features, integrated LLM APIs into the parts of the product where the tradeoffs were favorable (2023–2024)
  • Led small cross-functional teams (2–3 developers) for specific delivery cycles
  • Worked across Vue 3, Nuxt, and React / Next.js, driving the final stack decision to consolidate on Next.js

Teaching design students how to decide what to delegate to AI and what to preserve as their own judgment. Developed the COLAB methodology, a four-step framework for human-AI collaborative design used with 35+ master's students. Guest facilitator at IdeaSquare (i2Planet) at CERN, Geneva. A cross-disciplinary programme with IED, UPC & ESADE using speculative design to tackle sustainability challenges.
